What is SculpSure?
The SculpSure procedure is a non-invasive treatment that is used for permanent fat reduction. IT uses a nonsurgical device cleared by the FDA to heat fat cells in the body to break them down through a process known as apoptosis. In as little as 20 minutes, patients can address up to four zones throughout the body, targeting areas where stubborn fat may reside. With the SculpSure treatment, patients will see up to 24% fat reduction in the treated area, which remains permanent.
How does it work?
The SculpSure uses a special applicator that emits laser energy. It heats the tissues and then cools the area to destroy fat permanently. It is typically used on areas such as the flanks (“muffin top”) and stomach, where any discomfort is well-tolerated. Patients may choose to take over-the-counter pain medication before they arrive at the office for their treatment if they are having more sensitive areas treated such as the inner thighs.
